Worflow with Beer

Observation: Dan Davies, Henry Farrell, and Brad DeLong ... have a fascination with the work of Stafford Beer.

Question: Why?

Conjecture: AI (or the ongoing development(s) in computing) for Management Theory as well as for Economics continues in its course.

The obvious other question here is politics, but the experimental direction is not politics so much as management through computing and whether or not such management might work as AI.

How politics emerges though AI is, of course, a topic in itself.

Proposal [for computing]: Stafford Beer did seminal work in developing the use of computing for [process] management.
However, the language employed by Beer is not quite in sync with the language in use today. Perhaps, if the goal is to popularize Beer further (or to review such ideas in light of current technology), we should map the language of Beer to Workflow Management and to Decision Theory and to the like ...

For example: Re-map the term Beer uses for non-hierarchal problem solving by teams, syntegrity, to Group Work.

Underlying question: How do workflows implement politics?
